no, you need back support, it would be good to use it when you get home and loosen your back up on it by doing gentle exercises.

the exercise ball will force your lower back and stomach muscles to work which will strengthen your core and improve your posture. having back support all the time will lead to bad posture and weak muscles due to relying on the support.

You should switch back and forth between the two. Don’t just sit on the ball though. Move around on it, it’ll work your muscles. Just try it for a few days and see how it goes. You won’t do any harm, trust me

you need an ergonomic chair which helps you to sit with good posture, the exercise ball is good for strengthening your back so do some stretching and exercise before you go to work an after, core stability course might help.
